What Is OPEX?

OPEX is purely about the client, and that means providing a program that's reliable, result-proven and fun. A program that just works.

We've design our training programs with these principles in mind, using only tried-and-tested standards. We're also right on top of the latest developments in fitness and nutrition, and this is where our small-scale can be an advantage: we don't have a two or three-hundred member client base. If a coach wants to make an improvement or change directions with a client, we can do it without being constrained to a group training model.

The training, nutrition, and lifestyle prescriptions come from us, but - when it comes to the hard work - that comes from the effort our athletes put in and motivating group training environment we’ve cultivated.

Is functional fitness dangerous?

In short, yes,  functional fitness training can be dangerous. But not in the ways you might believe. With inexperienced coaches, shoddy equipment, and the wrong attitude, training can be very dangerous – but so can riding your bike or driving your car. The experienced and proven professional coaches you’ll find at OPEX San Diego North will ensure that you’re training in the safest most effective and efficient way possible.

What's your drop-in policy?

We love training traveling athletes, but please contact us (via email or contact form preferably!) at least 8 hours PRIOR to dropping in to let us know you're coming, as we do not accept unexpected guests. Our drop-in rate is $25.

Do you offer personal training?

Yes, we do! During our personal training sessions, coaches will work with you to help define your goals, conduct a comprehensive assessment of your fitness level, and coach you through a program designed specifically for your needs.
